Quebec 16 December, 1811

Sir,

Having laid before the Commander of the Forces your letter of the 15th , I am directed to acquaint you that His Excellency has been pleased to renew the authority for the payment of Two Shillings per day to Philip Long, who resides at the Landing Place on Lake Temiscouata near the entrance of the great Protage, on the Road between Quebec and Fredericton, and directions have been given to the Commissary General to ifsue that allowance to you, in behalf of Long as usual, from the 6th October last.
