Que la famille de votre requérant est en grande détresse à la fin de cette saison dû au fait que tout le grain et les récoltes ont été gelé, et que nous demandons humblement à votre excellence de bien prendre en considération, et nous accorder une aide tel que son excellence jugera appropriée.

To His Excellency Sir Gordon Drummond The Petition of Philip Long at the Lake Temisquata

Humbly Showeth,

That your Petitioner’s family is in great distress at this season of the year all the grain and all the crops in that quarter being cut off by the frost and therefore your Petitioner humbly prays your Excellency to take his case into your Consideration and grant him such relief as to your Excellency may seem meet.
