This section has stories or research papers that have been written by members of the Long (Lang) family.  They touch on an aspect of the family history or on the stories told by others about Philip Long and his family.

Some of the texts are not available in English.  We hope that over time, volunteers will support our efforts to bring forward these interestings texts to the broadest public possible.

  • Gilles Long has written two books: Depuis Québec jusqu'à Clair. Mes ancêtres - la lignée Couillard, 2001, 291 pages; and De Port-Royal à Lac Baker. Mes ancêtres - la lignée Cyr, 2001, 181 p.  (Copies of these books are available from the author directly)

  • Donald Long has just released a research paper on the origins of Philip Long entitled Les Origines de Philip Long.  This docuemnt is a must read for anyone interested in the origins of Philip Long.
  • Sur les traces de Philip et Julie - text by Doris Long.  This text takes us on a trip through all of the key places where Philip and Marie-Julie and their children lived for some period of time.
  • La Fortune des Long (Lang) - Légende, controverse et faux espoirs - text by Doris Long. This story is about one of the most fascinating times in the history of our family - where legends about treasures, truthsayers and untold fortunes!
