Genographic Project and DNA

We are proud and thankful that we are able to provide everyone an electronic copy of John Lang's book.  John worked with Mgr. Lang to translate and adapt the original book so that all anglophone members of the family could enjoy the story of Philip Long.

John has graciously given his permission to post this ebook - you can download a version at your leisure and for your enjoyment.

Sergent John Long From The King’s American Dragoons (KAD): Brother of Philip ?

This is the new text by Donald Long.  Its thought provoking and will certainly captivate your interest in the possibilities of Philip having had a brother named John.  Who was this John Long and is it really possible that Philip had a brother?  You can find the document in both a Word and Acrobat PDF format.

The origins de Philip Long

Donald Long wrote an excellent research document on the origins of Philip Long.  It is entitled: À la recherche des origines de Philip Long, l'ancêtre des Long et des Lang du Madawaska.  It is exceptional in its completeness and thought provoking in every way. It is also available as a Word document but unfortunately it is only in French.

Doris Long has written a short story of a family legend about a Fortune that may never have existed.  She takes us through a wonderful list of characters, through ambition and tragedy.

Please read the lovely text and review in great detail the Certificate.  Do you believe there was ever a fortune?

John Mann - travels in north america

This small book is a watershed in the history of our ancestor, certainly for those who have laboured to find information on how our ancestors lived in those difficult years at Lake Temiscouata.

Its in this book that Philip Long is referred to as  "landlord was an American..."  Discover another fascinating page in the history of our ancestor by clicking here.
