    • David Higgenbotham, courrier and witness to the marriage of Philip Long and Marie-Julie Couillard-Després, obtained a grant of the lands at the head of the Lake Temiscouata from the Commander of Canada, General Haldimand, in 1784.
  • First grants of land in la petite Décharge (Clair) in 1848
