Family Histories and Stories

This section of the site will allow members of the family to share stories and their writings.  As well, we will publish materials related to the Long family as it becomes available.

We are pleased to make the book by John Lang, From Hero to Zero, Finding Philip Long (1757?-1832), available in electronic format on the website.  Enjoy a great read!

One such story is Doris Long on the Legend of the Long/Lang Fortune.  Its a story of interesting characters, great ambition and also tragedy.  Her story can be read in English under the Legend of the Long-Lang Fortune.  The translation from the original French was done through the wonderful dedicated work of Jeannine Couture.

We have also included a fabulous story written by John Mann who traveled North America and recorded his encounter with Philip Long, his wife and his family.  Its well worth the read!
