Philip Long and his family settle at the Head of Lake Temiscouata

Philip Long and his family are asked to settle at the northern edge of Lake Temiscouata in July of 1809.  He is posted there under the orders of the Postmaster General (Finlay) and Governor Craig.  This information comes to us through a letter later written by the Governor General, Georges Heriot in 1811.
