1780 - The War Continues - No Trace of Philip Long

In 1780, the KAR was transferred to Lloyds Neck, New York before going to Virginia and then South Carolina to participate in the Southern Campaigns. The KAR stayed until July 1782 when it was divided in two parts – one returned to New York and the other went to Charlestown, South Carolina. The regiment was reunited at Flushing Fly, New York in December 1782. (Sources: Todd Braisted, Harriet Irving Library)
